Learning Objectives
Our foundational goal is that every child develops a love of school, trust in their teachers, and pride in their ability to be a successful student.
Our second goal is to support the students in their development of social emotional skills, thus readying them for success in school and in life. Our graduates truly know how to be good friends.
Finally, we understand that as early childhood educators it is not our job to decide what to teach a child, but rather to discern what each child is ready to learn. We therefore introduce “academics” through developmentally appropriate, play based activities that recognize each child’s unique learning style.
WE ARE COMMITTED TO PREPARING YOUR CHILD FOR KINDERGARTEN AND FOR LIFE
To that end, we have personally written our innovative curriculum. This unique curriculum addresses development of the whole child, recognizes that children learn in a variety of ways, and embraces the importance of and effectives of learning through play.
Our curriculum is multi dimensional and includes both fine and gross motor development. We joyfully enter into exploration of the arts including dance, music and drama. Science and math are presented in an age appropriate hands on manner and we nurture a love of reading.
We recognize that every child is beautifully unique and our style of teaching embraces these wonderful differences. There is no one correct definition of success or happiness. We support each child and family as they move towards their own individual goals and realities.
